This CMAR project completed the widening along the west side of Avondale Boulevard from McDowell Road to Encanto Boulevard. The project also included the relocation of water and irrigation piping at Palm Lane, relocating power overhead lines, and undergrounding an open irrigation ditch. When completed, this portion of Avondale Boulevard will have two northbound lanes and two southbound lanes, and a center turn lane to provide better traffic flow in this busy area of Avondale.
