Rio Verde Drive Water Transmission Main: 122nd Street to 128th Street

DCS installed a new water transmission main within the heavily-traveled Rio Verde Drive in Scottsdale. The scope of work included 4,143' of 16” ductile iron pipe waterline, 61' of new 12” ductile iron pipe waterline, three access manways, 11 water valves, two water service connections, seven fire hydrants, three air release valves, and one PRV vault and assembly. A portion of the water main was located just outside the City of Scottsdale’s right-of-way and involved coordination with multiple stakeholders, including MCDOT and private landowners. This CMAR project required traffic control, public outreach with a golf course resort community and multiple residential neighborhoods, asphalt paving replacement, as well as surface restoration.
